Beehive and Acorn Class with Wild Arts Learning
Join me (Elizabeth Exley) from GinghamTrundle for several hours of needle felting fun! In this class, you will be using upcycled and natural materials in combination with naturally dyed wool to create two projects. The first is a fun dive into needle felting with a simple, but very satisfying project - burr oak acorns! Yearly, Elizabeth gathers these beautiful and large shells for her needle felted projects, and you will create one (or more!) of these to take home. After learning the basics behind needle felting with this project, the class will complete the beehive scene from upcycled yarns and wool backing in combination with naturally dyed wool batting and sticks. You will take home 1-3 acorns and a beehive scene on a piece of upycled wood (as shown in the picture). This class is open to beginners and is fun for advanced students, as well!
This class is being hosted by Wild Arts Learning (located in East Springfield, around the bend from Turner's Station) on September 7 from 1-4. Address of the location (along with instructions that will help you find it) will be emailed after booking. We look forward to felting with you!
